About Us

The Urdu language is spoken by more than 137 million people around the globe. It is the official language of Pakistan, and also widely spoken in India. There is a great need for biblical theological resources in Urdu for pastors, teachers, lay leaders, church planters and missionaries in both physical and digital formats.

The vision and aim of Urdu Center for Reformed Theology (UCRT) is to make biblical resources accessible via a convenient, online format. There has been a tremendous need and a desire for a central platform for Reformed resources in the Urdu language. Our vision is to equip churches and church leaders to lay strong doctrinal foundations and guard against false teachings that plague our churches.

Postmodernism, relativism, liberalism, socialism and many ancient and modern heresies are an equal challenge worldwide for the Urdu speaking church.  In modern times, many (even Christians) have rejected the divine inspiration of Scripture and approach the Bible as purely a human document. Reformed theology, on the other hand, regards the Bible as God’s inerrant Word and “the sole and ultimate authority for faith and practice”. This statement is rooted in the sufficiency of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16–17). Thus Reformed theology is first and foremost theocentric (God centered) rather than anthropocentric (Man centered). Furthermore, Reformed theology stresses the sovereignty of God, that is, His reign over all things, meticulously determining  all that comes to pass (Eph 1:11).

Reformed Theology emphasizes a Christ Centered proclamation of the gospel, that salvation is wholly of God, by grace alone (Sola Gratia) through faith alone (Sola Fide) in Christ alone (Solus Christus) as revealed in the Scripture alone (Sola Scriptura) to the Glory of God alone (Soli Deo Gloria). We are committed to lifting up the banner of Reformed Theology which views the Bible as the only certain rule for faith and life. Please check out our resources and share them with other Urdu speakers.
